Villanaart x Jeckerson : LINES OF COLOR
Jeckerson’s commitment to creative projects and collaborations with artists from different fields now embraces the female universe for the first time. For the Spring Summer 2019 collection, the goal of transforming its iconic pants into a true piece of art has been entrusted to Villanaart, a Mexican artist specializing in “Yarn bombastic”, a technique that combines two-dimensional art with the use of thread and yarn.
Victoria Villasana, aka Villanaart, creates famous works of art and photographic portraits of well-known celebrities adding her personal touch with colored threads and yarn. The artist, who currently resides in Mexico after living in London for over a decade, cites her experience as a source of inspiration for her work, describing her art as a “symbiosis of cultures”. Her distinctive works, including portraits embellished with yarns that dot the streets of London, merge Mexican indigenous art with Western art.
Games of color and yarn details blend in to create this Villanaart 4 Jeckerson limited edition: two different jeans and a t-shirt, designed to bring a healthy dose of rebellious femininity to the modern woman, always in line with the latest fashion.
